Going from the Project RS2 and PSU to whest 20.SP0 OMG MOMENT

"is it an OMG moment".  I now get it James.  There are companies that manufacture products that are just black boxes and then there are specialist companies like your goodselves.
What I'm really shocked with is just how much of a difference the latter is.  I am in complete shock with the upgrade the 20.SP0 has had in my system over the Project RS2/Power box.  It wasn't meant to be this way.  The 20.SP0 was meant for my 2nd system, a different one based on a rebuilt Garrard 401/ Slate plinth.  But inserting the 20.SP0 into my main Technics 1200GAE/ Ortofon Verismo setup has shown me just how 'ORDINARY' and 2D sounding the Project RS2 is.

The 20.SP0 surpasses the RS2 in every area.  This isn't a "bright vs warm" OR "nice vs great" but more like "Joni Mitchell is in the room" vs Joni Mitchell on what sounds like average cassette.  Her voice and guitar are so realistic sounding on the 20.SP0 and between tracks you feel a real sense of the transfer from master tape to vinyl.  The 20.SP0 projects everything into the room and is so convincing in how and what it does.  Wayne Shorter's saxophone has body and depth, something I have never heard before.

Oh well... The Project RS2/Power Box has now been sold and I can tell you now that I am coming back for the 20.DP0.  There is NO WAY I will ever look at these other manufacturers again.  You are absolutely right - specialist companies all the way James.
