Finally... I'm in the whest family AGAIN - whestTWO.2 Discrete 2026

Hi James.
Thank you for your help over the years. It has always been great talking to you about everything and audio.
Well I feel like I'm back at home again. As you know the past few years has been a bit of a struggle with the divorce but I am now getting back on me feet. Just to recap for the readers, I have been using a Thorens TD124 that has been rebuilt over the past 6 months. I am using a Jelco 850M arm and Ortofon Cadenza Black. The phono stage for the past year has been a friends Avis Pulsus II while he is away on a long cruise - lucky git !!!
Now my finances have changed a little I headed straight for you James to give me some advice about getting a far better sound from the TD124. I was initially looking at getting a Groovemaster Tonearm but you were right in telling me that the difference wouldn't really be enough.
In comes the whestTWO.2 Discrete
I've been down the whest route before ..before the divorce. That was with the whestTWO.2 but now the 2026 whestTWO.2 Discrete was within my budget and I thought "what have I got to lose"?
James, the whestTWO.2 Discrete absolutely blows away the Avid Pulsus II in every department. I NOW understand the difference between a specialist company and one that just builds equipment. You are definitely the former - and then some.
The whestTWO.2 is bigger, far more detailed, has far better imaging, is crazy dynamic and sounds organic compared to the very hifi sounding Avid Pulsus II. I love the sound I am now getting. It is everything I was hoping for. That divorce has been a godsend in a way. Now for more vinyl purchases. Thank you again.
