Hey James
Nice to finally chat yesterday and to listen to your very logical views on vinyl and recorded music. I totally agree with you.
Well, the TITAN Pro II has finally warmed up and I am spinning what I was spinning last using my primary LAMM LP2.1 Phono Stage. Firstly as you might remember, my turntable is a Special 2 tonearm VPI 40th Anniversary.
For the start, I found the TITAN Pro II noise levels were much lower than the LAMM 2.1 and I was pretty shocked that my Ortofon Verismo running through the TITAN Pro II TOTALLY and UTTERLY outperformed the Lyra ETNA Lambda SL going into the LAMM 2.1. That has really blown me away.
I have swapped over the Lyra ETNA Lambda SL so this now runs into the TITAN Pro II and the audio is absolutely incredible. It blows away the LAMM 2.1 in every way possible. To the point that the LAMM is going to get replaced by another TITAN Pro II very soon. I am thinking that the TITAN Pro II could well be the best out there.
I have been buying audio and vinyl for about 35 years and have had tried so many products over that time in my music room and as part of the audio club that I'm a member of in NY. I do hope Michael Fremer gets to hear this soon. GREAT WORK James.
